MCT Quercus Grove Trail

The Quercus Grove Trail branches off of the Nickel Plate Trail in Edwardsville and meanders northeast towards Hamil

The Quercus Grove Trail and the Nickel Plate Trail meet at the intersection of Brown and Schwartz Streets.

The Trail follows a sidewalk and proceeds down an alleyway of sorts through town

The trail crosses IL143 at the intersection of IL157, then continues through town

Before leaving Edwardsville, the trail passes by a winery where cyclists are welcome to stop and relax

The trail then travels the old railroad bed with trees and bushes on both sides, creating pleasant shade

The trail parallels IL 157 loosely, travelling past farm fields and prairie land.

The trail then travels onto Jerusalem Rd. which takes you east to IL 157.

At IL157, the trail crosses to continue on with an asphalt surface into Hamil.

IL157 is also Historic Route 66

The trail ends at the edge of town at a subdivision, but is planned to continue on to Staunton eventually.
