The trail 13.5 miles long, traveling through woods and rural farmland, and connecting with the Schoolhouse Trail on the south end, as well as the Nickel Plate, Quercus Grove, Nickel Plate and Goshen trails to the north. |

At Washington Street, the trail shares the roadway to a gravel section off of Kate Street |

The gravel section takes you to Nameoki Road, where you cross onto a concrete section that travels along Victory Drive, then Terminal Avenue. |

On Terminal Avenue, you come to an intersection with the newest part of the trail that takes you north along a drainage ditch and across St. Clair Avenue to Wabash Avenue |

The trail then intersects with Terminal Avenue and follows in on-road to Saratoga Street |

Once across Maryville Road, the trail travels behind a subdivision to Mockingbird Lane, where you must cross Rail-road tracks to the next section |

Once across the Rail-road crossing, the trail continues, meeting with a branch off of the Schoolhouse Trail which will take you across IL 162 and Horseshoe Lake Road |

The Trail then intersects with Lake Drive, which is also an on-road connector to the Schoolhouse Trail, and crosses back across the tracks and continues north |
