River Des Peres Greenway
In late 2004, construction started to continue the trail along the River Des Peres. Sentiment had changed among local residents with the success of the many other trails in the area, such as the Grant Trail.

From the former endpoint, the trail continued through the greenway and across a small creek. The old restrooms for the park were rehabbed and new signage was placed along the trail.

While one branch of the trail goes on to end at Morganford St., another crosses River Des Peres Dr. to a new pedestrian bridge that crosses the wide drainage ditch.

After crossing the River Des Peres, the trail crosses Germania Ave. and continues through a greenway to the Christy Blvd, and Holly Hills Greenways.

The River Des Peres is part of a plan for a large greenway loop that covers the entire Metropolitan area.
